Geyer writes in Moonraker Owners Club Magazine "Moonrakers
International" Winter 2000 issue:
"Since June 1999 we are the
proud Owners of the Moonraker "Bandarante" so of
course we were delighted to see it feature on the tront cover of
the Winter 2000 Issue. We understand that Bandarante was first
commissioned for the Crown Prince of Bahrain who is now The Amir
of the State of Bahrain.
We
believe that the name Bandarante comes from a Brazilian Plane
and this type of plane operated in DAB.
We
think the boat may have been
registered in Bahrain as Bahrain appears on the boat under the
name Bandarante. We intend keeping this as it is".

Hayward writes on his web-site http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andy.hayward/JCL/JCL.html
:
"In
June 1974 a very well known Moonraker left Brundall on its way
to be delivered to the Sheik Hamed Bin Eissa Al-Khalifa, the
Defence Minister of Bahrein. It was fitted with all the possible
electronic mod cons as the Sheik was big fan of radio
communications, his craft was named 'Bandar' ( an english
translation of its arabic name)".
