Remarks:
MBY
June 1977:
A
little out of the ordinary. Mr T. A. Moxley of Upper Belvedere,
Kent sent us this photo of his 1972 'one off' Moonraker 36, 'Raker'. She has the standard Super Sportsman II
accommodation
but the wheelhouse has been enclosed with side windows and
sliding doors aft leading onto a teak decked cockpit with
Mediterranean awning. The wheelhouse has two extra berths and
the whole interior is shagpile carpeted throughout. The list of
addition al navigation aids and other equipment fitted is too
lengthy to mention here. Mr Moxley, who has cruised fairly
extensively in 'Raker', including trips to the Continent, says
that owners of early Moonrakers might be interested to know that
by fitting 17in x 14in props he has improved the performance
considerably and he now gets a genuine 23 knots at 2500rpm
(These
props are a standard fitting on the latest Moonrakers).
