Different
alterations

Many
fine efforts are done in adapting and in certain occasions to alter or
rebuild Moonrakers. Not all seems though being with an overall consideration
to the original design! Click on image

This
vessel is moored in France and the ad is telling: "Modified
in 1998 with a longer roof and a rear platform, this voluminous motor yacht
offers a great comfort for cruises at 4 or 6 persons".
It
hasn't been easy making this arrangement in front!

The
boat is for sale in Belgium and the ad tells:
"Moonraker,
build 1979 in Italië, Build for traveling over sea".
The
vessel is built in 1974 and no production of Moonrakers has ever been
taking place in Italy, but may be it is altered in Italy!

In the south of
Spain this 1977'er is placed on the hard, looking extremely neglected.
Which story that's behind the missing
flybridge is uncertain!
But it sure looks sad! |

San
Marco is lying in Germany and has this arrangement on the flybridge against
bad whether. Something like that is also seen on another Moonraker.
Must
be a lot of bad whether around there!

This
is build number 326 San Corina, whose former owner supplied this Moonraker
with, - it may be safely said -, a rather inelegant "bathing platform".
The
vessel burnt and is now being rebuilt in Stockholm by new owners, who hopefully
not think this part is to be kept!

This vessel from 1989 is claimed to be a vessel built on a Moonraker hull.
But it isn't! Check the next sites, and see that it
can't be!
The Ad says:
"For
Sale: MOONRAKER 36.
The hull is a development from a Robert Tucker design, and has been in
production since 1970 having been originally built by Buxton Marine Services
of Brundall, trading as Moonraker Marine.
The company later went into recession and were brought-out by Aqua Bell
who brought the mould and added the Cabin from the Aqua Bell 33". |
