Five
boats arrived already Friday evening, so things were warmed up to the get
together Saturday .
Saturday
Åge Urskov appeared, though without the boat, as he and Birgit, being on
the way, had to turn back, due to unforeseen circumstances. Gorm, who had
announced arrival Sunday, likewise had to excuse himself. So, with 6 boats
attending, the record - seven boats in Vallensbaek 1990 - was not
beaten.
Four
Swedes had driven all the way from Stockholm to eye and hear about
the Moonraker. They were facing the possibility of buying a burnt-out
Moonraker. They had photos of the vessel, and it sure didn't look like
something ever again to become a Moonraker!
A
potential Moonraker buyer also eyed the boats, and wanted furthermore to
insert an advertisement on our web site for a Moonraker.
The
event was favoured by the good whether this summer, and as always the
talking was about problems and advantages related to ownership of a
Moonraker. - Though, the women may have talked about other things! Two of the owners, inclusive Åge, who came without boat, were
fresh Moonraker owners, while the rest were hardened ditto.
The
good whether kept people in the open, and the banquet kept on a good while
after dark!
