"Danske Moonrakerejere"

It is under consideration to establish an informal society of Moonraker owners. The object should be to arrange knowledge about the Moonraker and be a databank around problems / solutions related to our boats. Here subjects with special interest could be brought up between the members, singly or on Moonraker get togethers, which could be arranged at some years intervals or after need / wish.

If you want to join "Danske Moonrakerejere", and perhaps as well Moonraker Owners Club, please post me a few words.

Subscription can be paid by crossed check, transferred to Danske Bank, account 4310-4310500208, or BG Bank Giro account 658 9375.

Best regards

More about Danske Moonrakerejere.

Now the Danske Moonrakerejere are working. The interest has been great, and the attitude at the owners of the 18 Moonrakers, which we have knowledge of in this country is: 15 owners have given expression to interest in membership, 2 haven’t reacted and finally, is boat no. 18, which we didn’t know of, just discovered in Fredericia and moreover for sale.

Build numbers.

It appears of the enclosed list, that we miss or are unsure of the build numbers on the earliest models. The number should be situated in the engine room behind starboard engine. Here should on top of the approximate 60 mm thick wall be a flat piece, which might be painted over several times. Try to clean up the flat piece with steel wool and see if not a number comes up!

From 1973/74 the number is cut into a brass plate, which is cast on to the vertical side of the aft wall in the middle between the engines. Here might be fitted equipment, which make it difficult to see the plate. From 1975/76  furthermore a registration number is cast into the hull outside at the port side on the transom stern just below the rubbing strake, with reference to Lloyd’s Register of Shipping’s then latest standard.
